Lots to Share

Sunday July 11th: Today we visited Bishop Peter's church. Bishop preached how each of our houses should be a "House of Prayer," and how we must not focBoldus on the negative in our lives. Instead we must turn the negative into prosperity. So often, especially in the US, we put all the attention on the negative aspects of our lives. I am very blessed to have an amazing husband, a job that I love, and warm bed to lay my head down every night. Bishops' message made me realize that I do not take time in my day to make sure that my home is being used as a "House of Prayer" on a regular basis. God has blessed me with more than I could ever ask for, and for that I am truly grateful. It took going across the world to Zambia to be reminded how God continues to bless me.

In a card that Micah wrote to me, he reminded me that today is the Lords Day and that I must praise and worship his name. He is right. Samuel 22:50 Therefore I will praise you, O Lord, among the Nations; I will sing praise to your name.

Monday July 12th: I had a dream last night that I had to return home because I was having difficulty with my asthma. When I woke up in the morning I was feeling a bit anxious because I was to walk the children to school. For those of you who do not know, the air quality in Zambia is very poor. Throughout the day, people burn their trash and fields. This of course along with driving on dirt roads makes for some awful air quality. In the morning, after burning throughout the evening, it settles very thickly. I knew that I was to be bold and walk the children to school, so I sat and prayed. I prayed that God would give me his strength and that he would heal my lungs so that I could walk the children without any difficulties. After praying I read the card that Micah wrote to me, (he wrote me a little something for each day that I am away). His words were right on and spoke spoke directly to me. He shared that I needed to be bold and step out and use the gifts that God has given me. I am very grateful that I was bold and took the children today. Each and every one of them is a blessing!!

Today we spent all the time with the children at the village. Amy did a great job working with Given putting up the volleyball court. Other activities for the day included teaching the children how to make bracelets, playing cards, and teaching both the house moms and children how to sew. It has been such a blessing to be with the children. We are one big happy family. We are able to spend as much time with the children as we like. The children love it here!! It has been amazing to see how much the children have grown over the last for years. They have such a love for the Lord and amazing, innocent hearts. They have really opened up to each and everyone of us in way that they never have before. God is doing an amazing work here and I am blessed to be a part of it. I have much more to write about I must get some rest. Until next time....God Bless
